Ecco qui di seguito un'intervista
esclusiva che ho fatto a Marschall Efron (Fat Cat)!
Milena:
Along your career you had a lot of parts, you worked as
actor, voice actor and then writer, which is your
favourite part?
Marschall: It's very hard
to make a choice. I love every part I ever played, even
when the reviews were bad. But most reviews were good,
so I'm a happy guy.
Milena: What do you
remember of the series Kidd Video? Some remembrances
about it?
Marschall: Michael Bell,
the director was very tough and kept pushing me to be
better, which it turned out was a good thing.
Milena: Were you friend to
the other members of the casting of Kidd Video? Are you
still in touch with someone of them?
Marschall: I never see them, but I have warm
feelings.
Milena: How was working as
a voice actor for an important movie as Ice Age 2 and
Robots? I only saw the italian versions unfortunately
Marschall: I really enjoy doing voice work. I go
into a trance-like intensity.
Milena: You
worked and continie working in animation movies and on
comedy movies too, which you prefer? I think it might be
crazy to work for an animation series or an animation
movie, i think it's funny!
Marschall:They are not so different. You have to
be believable and you have to be the character and have
energy.
Milena: I read you are also a
writer for movies, would you like to continue doing it?
Marschall: I have a writing
partner, Alfa-Betty Olsen. We began working together on
a show called, The Great American Dream Machine, which
won an EMMY Award. Then we wrote, and I acted in, a
televsion show called, Marshall Efron's Illustrated,
Simplified and Painless Sunday School, which also won an
EMMY Award and several other television awards. I told
Bible Stories and played all the characters. You can see
a little of it if you go to Youtube and search my name.
We've written other things for television and some books,
too.
Milena:
What's your favourite actor/voice actor you worked with?
Marschall:
There are too many to name, but, I can say this -- Voice
actors are generally jovial and like to joke around.
Milena: As you are working
on enterteinment for so long time, it must be really
important to you i think. Do you feel realized?
Marschall: I don't think I'm finished until I'm
finished. I have a lot of dreams and a lot of projects
I'd like to do.
Milena: Any projects for
the near future?
Marschall: I have a few movies I've written with
Alfa-Betty and I hope they get made. One is The Viqueens.
You've heard of the Vikings, Meet The Viqueens.
Milena: Did your career
influence your private life?
Marschall: My career is my
life and my private life is connected to my career. Most
of my friends are actors, or writers.
Milena: Instead of working,
which are your hobbies? What do you enjoy in your spare
time?
Marschall: I have a big interest in photography
as an art, and I love cars.
Milena: Were you surprised
to know there's an italian website dedicated to Kidd
Video?
Marschall: Yes. I didn't
know the show had been seen so far away.
Milena: Would you be
interested to interact with us whenever you have got
time? Fat Cat was my favourite of the Copycats anyway.
Marschall: Yes, but I warn
you, I don't speak Italian.
